Apply Sunscreen

Drink a Lot of Water
It’s no surprise that summer gets hot, and with this heat comes the need to stay extra hydrated. As such, truck drivers should come prepared by having plenty of water on hand. You’ll want to drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water every day if you want to keep your hydration levels up.
Monitor Your Tire Pressure
It’s important for truck drivers to check on their tire pressure frequently. If truck tires are underinflated, there’s a higher chance of experiencing a tire blowout. Not only is this dangerous to experience while you’re driving, but it can also leave you stranded after your truck has stopped. By checking your tires ahead of time, you reduce the probability of these tire blowouts taking place.
Look at the Weather Forecast
In the summertime, it’s common to experience thunderstorms from time to time. These storms can make road conditions more treacherous. That’s why it’s best to check the weather forecast in advance so that you can avoid these storms whenever possible.
